The owner of a suburban coffee shop has been charged with allegedly selling methamphetamine to an undercover police officer on three separate occasions, DuPage County authorities said. Peter Thomas, 35, of Villa Park, was charged with three counts of delivery of methamphetamine, one count of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, one count of misdemeanor resisting a police officer and one count of misdemeanor unlawful possession of cannabis by a driver. Thomas is the owner of Pilot Pete s Coffee and Treats, the coffee shop located inside the Elmhurst Metra Station along West First Street, according to multiple online articles. Pilot Pete s was listed as temporarily closed on Google on Friday. The DuPage County State s Attorney s Office said Elmhurst police, working in conjunction with the Chicago Police Department, identified Thomas as an alleged source of methamphetamine sales in DuPage County. Prosecutors said an undercover officer contacted Thomas on Aug.
