Six Corners Association Dissolving At The End Of The Year — Chicago Real Estate news

PORTAGE PARK — The Six Corners Association, a nonprofit that has worked to promote the Six Corners business district for more than two decades, will dissolve at the end of the year. Amie Zander, the managing director of the Six Corners Association, said that with so many other neighborhood groups working in the area, It just seemed like it was time. “The Portage Park chamber is doing great so it just seemed to make more sense to just kind of step away, Zander said. The Six Corners Association started in 2002 when the Six Corners business district began to lose some of its key retailers. The group was focused on revitalizing the area and supporting the remaining businesses. Over the years, the association held countless street fests, holiday events, workshops and business luncheons. The group also highlighted local businesses on social media and in its Get Local Guide. The Six Corners Target as seen on Feb. 13. Credit: Molly DeVore/Block Club Chicago The Six Corn
